New Year, New You!

Get fit and learn karate & self-defense in Berkeley

Come study martial arts at the Tuyê’t Tan Dojo in Berkeley, and get a good workout while having fun in a safe environment! We’re not a large commercial school — classes are taught by experienced black belts who take pride in the quality of training and the personalized attention given to our students. The senior instructors have been teaching martial artists for over 26 years.

Our style is Cuong Nhu, which means "hard/soft" and is a blend of Shotokan Karate, Wing Chun, Vovinam, Aikido, Judo, Taiji, and boxing. We practice forms, basic techniques and self-defense, grapple, spar, break boards, and train with various weapons. Cuong Nhu is a discipline of the body, mind, and spirit

Adult schedule and fees:

No way! We have a wide range of ages and abilities in our school and are very careful with our necks, shoulders, backs, and knees. Every student trains to their physical limits and progresses at their own pace.

Give us a call (510) 528-8426, or come by to visit a class at 3398 Adeline Street (cross street 62nd) in Berkeley. Drop-ins welcome!
